Week 7
In this final week i created UV maps for both the tank and sniper rifle and then textured them. I encountered a few difficulties here however, i discovered i had added multiple faces to some surfaces by accident while i was box modelling parts of both the tank and sniper rifle. Because of these difficulties the texturing took longer than i had planned.
Week 6
To begin with this week i finished modelling the tank. I began by creating the wheels, i used the box modelling technique to shape a cylnder into a wheel shape before duplicating it into a set. I then went on to create the tracks which go around the wheels. To create the tracks i created a small rectangle shape and duplicated it around a point, i then created a deformer to get the rough shape i wanted and added further detail by changing the vertex.
Once i had finished modelling the tank i started making the next model, which was a weapon for my game. I decided to create a sniper rifle based on the AS50 model. I began at the tip of the barrel and gradually worked my way towards the end of the stock using box modelling and also by splitting faces and modifying the verticies.

Week 5
This week i once again continued with a modelling of the battle tank, to begin with, i duplicated the one side of the tank i had created, and combined them together to save production time. I then went on to begin making the turret, i did this by splitting the face's and changing the verticies to model the main part of the turret. Next i used box modelling to shape and add detail to a cylinder which servers as the barrel.
Week 4
This week i continued creating the tank which i had began making the previous week, i continued to use techniques used in the previous week, such as box modelling. I have managed to get most of the base of the tank completed, and i will go on too add more detail and the turret part of the tank next week.
Week 3
This week i decided i would start with the mode of transport as my thrid object. For this model we were limited to using 5000 triangles. For this model i decided i would create a battle tank. I began modelling this object using box modelling, and also by indivually moving and edditing the vertex. I had some difficulties this week and found myself stuck on how to create certain parts of the tank, and did not complete as much of the model as i had planned.
Week 2
This week i decided i would start work on the street furniture model, limited in our design brief to 500 triangles. For my street furniture i had planned to create a concrete road block. I created this model using box modelling once again, and also used the split faces tool to help me create the shape and detail that i wanted. During this lesson i also created the U.V map for the model, and then added a concrete texture and a small piece of graphiti, to give it a run down appearence. I was pleased with the outcome of this model.
